Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 July 2026
The Ad Audit (“we”, “us”) provides independent audits of Google and Meta advertising accounts at theadaudit.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English on purpose.
Information we collect
When you request an audit or a snapshot, or contact us, you may give us your name, email address, website or Facebook page, the advertising platforms you use, and rough ad spend. If you buy an audit, you grant us view-only access to your ad accounts so we can review them. When you visit the site, we automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring source, through cookies and analytics tools.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Where required, these are governed by your consent choices. You can control cookies through your browser settings and any consent banner shown on the site.
How we use your information
We use your information to deliver the audit you requested, to respond to enquiries, to process payments, to operate and improve the site, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy terms.
Access to your ad accounts
Any access you grant us is view-only. We read your account and change nothing. You can remove our access at any time, and we recommend doing so once your audit is delivered.
Sharing and processors
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our hosting provider, Stripe for payments, and analytics and advertising platforms acting as our processors. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EEA and the UK, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@theadaudit.com.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We operate internationally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with its date.
